These creatures are essentially optional "mini-boss" enemies, and fighting them is not necessary for the completion of the game. If you do fight them, be aware that they are incredibly strong, incredibly resilient and incredibly dangerous. They wield giant weapons and can jump great distances, and have the ability to summon other creatures to assist in the fight against you.
