Lighter (Resident Evil 2)

An oil lighter.

A standard flip-top lighter.

There are several places where you use the lighter:

Light the fire in the back area of the Operations Room of the Police Station to retrieve the Virgin Heart from the picture.
Light the pilot light for the lamps in the Press Room of the Police Station in order to retrieve the Gold Cogwheel.
Light the oil lamps inside Warehouse 2 of the Raccoon Sewers in order to see the items on the nearby shelves.
Activate the flare gun in the Cable Car Platform in order to show the location of the Weapon Box Key on the ground nearby.
Light the fuel on the floor in Sleeping Quarters A of the Underground Laboratory as a way of destroying the Vines in the south west corner.
